Update: The final release of Solaris 10 8/11 have the the first sustaining kernel patch already installed (147440-01/147441-01).

I'm thinking it's "wait for the conference" rather than actual problems. The PowerPath issue might have helped though.

So what do you think about the Solaris 11 Early Adopter release? I'm still trying to find a list of new features, but the release notes are still for 2010.11.
What I really want to know is what the "killer feature" that Joerg often mentioned might be... =-)
It's been many months since I saw anything new for the S11 release. Beside fuse, NFS in zones, ZFS hybrid allocator and support for the SPARC T4 it's hard to say. I hope I will get some more information at Oracle World.
Interesting with a new "killer feature", especially one that has been implemented in just a year, maybe we'll see DTrace probes for Oracle RDBMS or BP rewrite:)

There are new docs (1.5GB worth), but the "what's new" release notes are left over from 2010.11.
It would seem that the killer feature has yet to reveal itself. I'd love to see BP Rewrite, but that's not my first guess.
Supposedly this new feature is why they had to cut off US-IV+ and earlier models... but of course that could just be the marketing treadmill.
